Silence

Since that volcano in Iceland has been erupting, we have had no airplanes in the sky. That means no noise at all, no white powder trails of pollution. The sky is pure blue.

It is interesting to notice the quietness and it makes me realize, since I was born with those big flying machines, that we are so used to hearing or seeing them. The sky today is what it was a 100 years ago!

At night, only the stars are shining. What a beauty without extra lights flashing! How great it would be for UFO’s to come at this time. There would be no mistaking them with airplanes. Will they (whoever they are) show themselves? I want to see one!

I didn’t realize that you had so many airplanes…or any (!) fly over your house. What a beautiful rest for the sky. You cannot imagine the birdsong here this year. Flocks of red winged blackbirds have joined the smaller, brightly colored songbirds and it is a symphony. They are my music.
Also I love your goddess mantra.

      Hi Roxanne,

Well, it’s not that there are so many airplanes but they are definitely noticable. At night on a clear evening, you cannot be 5 mns without seeing flashing lights blending with the stars.

Just checked on your blog. The bird’s coulours must definitely be amazing for a painter! + the mixture of the pictures and your words are so peaceful, relaxing. It brings me to my center!

Lots of hugs to you, Cathy

Ah, every cloud has a silver lining.
Where I live there is only the occasional plane anyway. The nights are mostly quiet with only the sounds of clicking frogs, dogs and the hooting of the frequent (flyer)visitor the eagle owl. The stars are bright, perfect for star gazing.
    Thank you for your thoughts,
    Sophia
